Suboxone ® (Buprenorphine / Naloxone) was the first medication approved in the U.S. for the treatment of opioid addiction in an office-based setting. It is highly effective in eliminating withdrawal symptoms and the intense cravings that frequently accompany addiction. Treatment using this medication is closely monitored using a staged approach that changes as the patient stabilizes and progresses through recovery.
Vivitrol ® (Naloxone) is appropriate for patients who have completed detox, are opiate-free and would like this injectable medication to support their sobriety. This treatment is frequently selected by those in abstinence-based programs. Counseling is in integral part of all patient care plans. Behavioral healthcare is available on-site.
